Company History

trayectoriaAgrovin was founded in 1960 as a supplier of winemaking products. In the beginning, we only operated in the Spanish region of Castile-La Mancha, based from Alcázar de San Juan, Ciudad Real. The company’s headquarters are still located here.

Our expansion process in Spain began in 1965, when we started setting up local offices in the main wine-producing areas in the country. At present, there are local Agrovin offices in León, Logroño, Montilla, Valencia, Vilafranca del Penedés, and Almendralejo. In 2005, we took a leap and went international, settling in France and Romania. The company also operates in Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Italy, South Africa, Bulgaria, and China, through a network of agents and distributors. We are now active in more than ten countries.

trayectoriaAs new branches and local offices were being opened abroad, our headquarters in Alcázar de San Juan kept expanding and modernizing its facilities. Currently, our Castilian base boasts 1,800 square metres (ca. 20,000 sq ft) of office space, 15,000 square metres (ca. 160,000 sq ft) in warehouses, several manufacturing plants, and a 300-square-metre (ca. 3,200 sq ft) lab facility for technical assistance, research and innovation.

From its inception, Agrovin had focused almost exclusively on the winemaking industry, but on 1985 it began to diversify into new sectors, such as beer, oil, mineral water, and basic chemistry.

Agrovin currently manufactures a wide array of products and machines, and provides solutions, services, and equipment for most of the processes performed in these industries, through our competent staff and strong know-how. Over the past few years, we have also boosted our innovation activities, by expanding our technical and R&D department. We have thereby contributed to the necessary evolution of the wine industry.
