Depth filter plates without mineral aggregates, for the food and wine industry. BECOPAD has developed a new technology for depth filtration without mineral aggregates, ranging from coarse filtration to filtration for substantial reduction of the microbial content of the food liquid. Using “bepure ®” technology, high purity cellulose fibers are interwoven to form a unique and compact structure, which does not require the addition of mineral compounds to reduce porosity and thus achieve greater microorganism retention efficiency.

BECOPAD plates are distinguished by high purity; the content of ions and substances that can alter the sensory profile of the food is significantly lower than in conventional plates. The type of filtration to be carried out depending on the cleanliness and/or percentage of microorganism retention can be chosen from the wide range of BECOPAD plates available.

BECOPAD is a new technology for depth filtration without mineral aggregates, ranging from coarse filtration to filtration for substantial reduction of the microbial content of the food liquid.
BEGEROW has developed this innovation with its own research team. Using “bepure®” technology, high purity cellulose fibers are interwoven to form a single, compact structure, which does not require the addition of inorganic components to reduce porosity and thus achieve greater microorganism retention efficiency. BECOPAD plates are distinguished by high purity; the content of ions and substances that can alter the sensory profile of the food is significantly lower than in conventional plates.
By using BECOPAD plates, the volume of wash water is reduced by 50%, filter cycles are lengthened by up to 20%, drip losses are reduced by up to 99% and color losses due to adsorption are minimized. They are manufactured without mineral additives, which eliminates the contribution of soluble ions (Fe and Al) to the wine and makes it a biodegradable product.

APPLICATION

BECOPAD technology can be used for the filtration of any liquid food, from coarse filtration to filtration for the purpose of substantial reduction of microbial content.

  • BECOPAD 115C: Filtration with a high degree of retention of microorganisms. This depth filter media is ideally placed as membrane protection.
  • BECOPAD 120: Filtrate with a high degree of retention of microorganisms. Filtration for bacteria separation in overloaded or sensitive products.
  • BECOPAD 170: Filtration with a high degree of retention of microorganisms for filling or storage in case of high output load.
  • BECOPAD 220: Filtration with a high degree of retention of microorganisms for medium output loads.
  • BECOPAD 270: Filtration with a variable degree of retention of microorganisms for lower output loads.
  • BECOPAD 350: Filtration with a variable degree of retention of microorganisms, reduction of yeast and bacteria.
  • BECOPAD 450: Clarification filtrate for fine particle retention.
  • BECOPAD 550: Clarification filtrate for coarse particle retention.
